Illustration is an extension of my skill as a designer. I try to illustrate where at all possible, taking inspiration from different areas of life, from nature to vintage greeting cards. Or I might trace photos that clients provide to create some graphic interest to a webpage or brochure. I love classic children's book illustrators like Charley Harper, Mary Blair and Art Seiden. And I like the bold design of icons and dingbats which I consider to be illustration as well. Included here are also some typographic illustrations that are manipulations of existing typefaces mixed with hand-drawn type elements. Enjoy!
